School's Out Camps
Join us at the IMAG History & Science Center during the school year for a week filled with STEM & history! Campers will have a blast while inventing, experimenting, exploring, and investigating in our all-new immersive one-week camps. Plus, they will also explore the museum, experience our live Animal Encounters, participate in our all-new Science Shows, get up close with our sea life in our Touch Tank, and meet dinosaurs and titans of the ice age in our 3D Theater! Our number one goal is FUN- with a big side of LEARNING!
Camp IMAG sessions include fun and educational hands-on activities, games, crafts, special guests, and exhibit explorations! Our innovative curriculum integrates STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), history, the arts, and humanities to inspire the imagination and encourage an overall love of learning!
Thanksgiving Camp 2026:
Lost City Expedition
November 23 – 25
Grades K-5
Answer the call: unearth the past, and engineer the future.
An ancient city has been discovered beneath IMAG—and we need young explorers to investigate! Campers will unravel clues to discover scientific treasures hidden within the ruin, using all their creativity, teamwork, and engineering skills to complete their expedition.
What will your camper discover as they venture into the depths of IMAG?
- Decode ancient clues to solve expedition puzzles!
- Engineer tools, bridges, and protective structures to overcome the challenges of exploring an ancient, remote city!
- Explore archaeology, geology, and ancient technology!

Winter Camp 2026:
The Great Imagination Expedition
December 28 – January 1
Grades K-5
($200 full week)
A mysterious train has arrived at IMAG, and it’s inviting all aboard…
Campers will embark on a journey through exciting destinations inspired by science, engineering, and history. At each station, they’ll uncover clues, solve hands-on STEM challenges, and discover how ideas from the past built the world of today.
Their expedition will end with an exhilarating New Year’s Day finale full of discovery, creativity, and IMAGination!
- Design, build, and test trains and bridges to solve the transportation challenges of your journey!
- Discover incredible inventions and innovators out of history!
- Experiment with motion, forces, energy, and put them all to work in engineering challenges!
- Solve expedition clues, complete hands-on STEM missions, and bring the train home to IMAG for the grand New Year’s Day finale!
Cost
Cancellation Policy – If your child cannot attend their registered sessions we ask that you first try to transfer to an alternative week. In the event you must cancel your reservation, you will receive a refund as defined below. Cancellation notice must be submitted in writing. Please email aaron@theIMAG.org. Refund will be issued in the same manner payment was made.
A full refund will be given if canceling more than 31 days in advance.
15-30 days until the session start date = 50% refund.
14 days prior to the start of camp session = NO REFUND.
Cancellation requests due to illness or accident prior to the camp session start date require a physician’s written verification. Upon receipt of verification, we will issue a full refund.
Registration
School’s Out Camps are designed for students grades K-5. You can register for camp by clicking on the camp of your choice via the Fever link below. If you are a member, please click the Member Discounts link and enter your IMAG order number from your Fever membership card to apply your discount.
Registration closes for each week of camp at 11:55 PM on the Thursday prior to the start of that week. All fees for each camp must be paid in full by the first day of each week of camp.
Lunch
Campers may bring a lunch from home or order a lunch from our cafe partners. Lunches must be ordered before 9:30 AM. Any camper that arrives without a lunch will be provided with a lunch for the regular fee, which will be due upon pick up.
Special Tuesday Activity – Mining Bags
Campers will have a special opportunity to visit our Caloosa Fossil Hunt exhibit on Tuesdays; mining bags for this activity can be purchased at the front desk at check-in on Tuesday morning. Please note that this activity is only part of Tuesday’s schedule!
Camp Hours
9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sign In/Out
Sign-in for camp will take place starting at 8:45 AM. Camp officially starts at 9:00 AM. Sign out for camp will also take place in the Education Room starting at 4:00 PM and ending at 4:15 PM. All persons picking up a camper MUST be on the authorized pick-up list and have a photo I.D. with them.
Pre/Post Camp
Before- and after-care are available starting at 8:30 and ending at 5:30 each day. Each care period is $15 per week per student.
If a camper remains in camp after 4:15 PM, you will automatically be billed $15 for post-camp and it will be due upon pick up that day.
Please note there is a $3 per minute late charge for any camper pick up past 5:31 PM.
Camp Dress Code
Campers must wear the designated camp t-shirt every day. One t-shirt will be handed out per registrant for free as a courtesy each season. Additional day camps or weekly sessions will not include additional shirts. Additional t-shirts may be pre-ordered during registration or purchased at any time online or in person for $10 each. Campers who come to camp without a t-shirt will be given a new t-shirt and a $10 will be assessed to your registration.
