The IMAG History & Science Center is presenting Clyde Butcher, award-winning photographer, conservationist, and humanitarian, at a Live Online Distinguished Speakers Series Event, Cuba: The Natural Beauty, on Thursday, June 4th, 2020, from 7 PM to 8 PM.
During the Live Online Event, Butcher will share his experiences in Cuba photographing the island’s natural beauty, taking questions from the live participants. Participation is only $4.99, and only those registered will be able to view the livestream, ask questions, and enjoy Clyde’s storytelling in his first public engagement of the COVID-19 era.
Butcher was invited to photograph the mountains of Cuba for the United Nations Conference for the Sustainable Habitat of the Mountain; 2002 was declared “The Year of the Mountains.”
Several of his books, “Cuba: The Natural Beauty” are available at the museum, & of course, the full exhibition is on display & open to guests to experience in person Tuesdays to Sundays, 12-4 pm beginning June 9th.
