Learning on the Go with the STEMLab Store
For the imagination in all of us, the STEMLab store offers a variety of STEM-To-Go activities, toys, and gifts. These educational items are designed to engage young minds in an exploration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Programming

Homeschool Classes
Join us at STEMLab for our homeschool programs. Students will learn about a variety of topics ranging from biology, geology, chemistry, and physics to technology, engineering, robotics, & forensics. Space is limited and classes fill up quickly, so register today!
STEMLab classes are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month excluding summer months!
Cost: $15 for IMAG Members and $24 for Non-Members.
Weekly Programming
STEMLab & all of the following programming are free to attend!

- Free Science Shows: 1:30 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays
- Free Animal Shows: 1:30 PM on Tuesdays & Thursdays
- Read Aloud Mondays: 4 PM every Monday
- STEM Saturdays: 11 AM every Saturday
- Guest Speakers: First Sunday of each month (starting in November)
- Homework Help: 4-6 PM, first Thursday of each month. Intended for 1st-5th graders.
- Kids’ Trivia Night: 5-6 PM, last Friday of each month

All workshops are an hour long and require a minimum of 10 participants. All workshops must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance. Thank you!
STEMLab Workshops
Kindergarten & Grade 1 Workshops
Life Science: Awesome Animal Antics ($6/student) : Learn about some of the cool, silly and even strange behaviors of different animals that help them survive through hands-on activities. Plus, meet one of our STEM Lab Animal Ambassadors in a special Meet and Greet!
Earth & Space Science: Fossil Finders ($6/student): Become a paleontologist for a day and go on a dig for dinosaur bones and other fossils! Then make a fossil impression to take home.
Technology: Robot Races ($5/student): Make Mini Spheros zip and zoom through mazes, around obstacles, and other challenges as an introduction to programming.
Engineering: Lego Engineers ($5/student): Brush up on your building skills as you go through a variety of LEGO challenges and work together to build the tallest LEGO tower and the longest LEGO bridge!
Grades 2-3 Workshops
Earth & Space Science: Amazing Astronauts ($6/student): Learn about our solar system, build your own spacecraft, and explore how craters on the moon were formed in this fun intergalactic workshop!
Engineering: Balloon Derby ($6/student): Learn about the laws of motion and build balloon powered cars. Race your friend and see whose car can go the farthest!
Life Science: Animal Adaptations ($6/student): Compare and contrast animal adaptations, make your own camouflaged beetle, and experiment with different bird ‘beaks’ in this fun animal-themed workshop.
Life Science: Ocean Voyagers ($5/student): Learn the basics of marine biology and explore the relationship between form and function as you create your own fish.
Physical Science: Circuits ($5/student): Team up to see who can build the longest circuit using our Sci-Fi Tubes! Learn about atoms and electricity and discover how circuits work. Test out which materials will conduct electricity and which ones won’t as you challenge your classmates!
Life Science: Powerful Plants ($6/student): Learn all about how plants survive and thrive as you plant a sunflower to take home!
Physical Science: Sun Seekers ($6/student): Explore the properties of light to create an eye-catching suncatcher and a bracelet that seems to magically change in the sunlight!
Engineering: Marble Run Madness ($5/student): Construct marble runs using our marble run kit, pieces of PVC pipe, scraps of wood, pool noodles, cardboard tubes, and more!
Grades 4-5 Workshops
Life Science: Fantastic Food Webs ($6/student): Learn about physical and behavioral adaptations, food chains and webs, and anatomy as you dissect an owl pellet.
Life Science: Body Works ($6/student): Learn about the different systems of the body, construct a model hand using straws and string, and make your very own brain cap.
Engineering: Catapult Basketball ($6/student): Build your own catapult, learn about Newton’s Laws of Motions and physics, and challenge your friends to a basketball tournament using your new machines!
Physics: Fun with Flying ($5/student): Learn about the principles of flight as you play with stomp rockets, make a beach ball float in the air, and design your own paper airplane!
Chemistry: Radical Reactions ($7/student): Learn about the PH scale and the relationship between acids and bases with a science experiment that looks like magic! You’ll also get to make your own lava lamp using vegetable oil and water!
