Designed Especially for Our Middle School Children
From Ice Cream Wars and Drones, Droids, & Robots to A Game of Phones, STEAM Hunt, and Behind the Scenes of IMAG, your children going into 6th, 7th, and 8th grades can have a blast at Camp IMAG. What’s more, they will learn new, exciting things to enrich their lives while having fun. But you must register them now at theIMAG.org.
At Ice Cream Wars, campers learn about the colder side of science through experiments with dry ice and liquid nitrogen. At the end of each day, campers then whip up a unique batch of liquid nitrogen ice cream like purple root beer or neon green banana flavor. And to finish off the week, campers compete in an ice cream challenge on Friday! Ice Cream Wars Camp runs the week of June 24th-28th.
At Drones, Droids, & Robots, campers explore the world of robotics! Using Spheros, Ollies, Lego Mindstorms, Drones, and other types of technology to complete different challenges and tasks, campers fly through an obstacle course, maneuver a through a maze, and more with their electro-creations! Drones, Droids, & Robots Camp runs the week of July 8th-12th.
At Behind the Scenes of IMAG, campers learn about the live science shows and all of the exciting, interesting, and unique demonstrations performed at the IMAG as well campers learn about the live animal shows and what is required to handle, manage, and care for many of the natural and exotic animals here at the IMAG. Campers work as a team to plan and create a brand-new show for the IMAG! Behind the Scenes Camp runs the week of July 15th-19th.
At A Game of Phones, campers use one of our tablets, of if they prefer, they use their smartphones to complete fun, silly, and wacky STEAM-based challenges throughout the week. Challenges include ones related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Every day, there are new challenges that stimulate and excite campers for a memorable week of fun. A Game of Phones Camp runs the week of July 22nd -26th.
At STEAM Hunt, campers participate as a team in a scavenger hunt against other teams from all over the country. Teams get their list of 100 scavenger hunt items and challenges on Monday and work throughout the week to complete them. Items and challenges are related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. In addition, campers will share their completed items and interact with other teams online throughout the week. STEAM Hunt Camp runs the week of July 29th -August 2nd.
